About Area Study Centre
The Area Study Centre for Africa, North and South America was established under the 1975 Area Study Centres Act No. XLV of the Government of Pakistan. The centre is an autonomous institution, funded by the Ministry of Education through the Higher Education Commission. It is academically part of Quaid-i-Azam University, affiliated with its Faculty of Social Sciences.
